March 3 2010#1 CLUB CHEQUES are out - Plan your trip nowMost of don’t enjoy writing cheques to pay bills. I am no different. But there is one cheque I sign every year that provides me nothing but pleasure. It’s our #1 Club Cheques to our #1 Club Members. I have the pleasure this year of signing over 500 cheques.
Reading the Hobbit and the Lord of The Rings Trilogy during the summer of 1970 filled me with a longing for adventure. I wanted to explore enchanted forests and run wild rivers. I soon began taking my fellow classmates with me. Eventually, this desire to "Share the Magic" found in whitewwater let me to found my university’s Outdoor Club and then Wilderness Tours in 1975.
That same desire to "share the magic" spread among our early rafters who wanted to do the same with their friends, family and coworkers. It still lives on today in our Group Organizers, the #1 reason for our success. You too can "share the magic" with others. It’s fun, easy and rewarding. Just fill a raft of 12 and you will be inducted into the #1 Club when you get off the river after your trip. Your trip leader will bring you and the other inductees on stage for recognition and to provide you a special gift. Then, every February, you will provide me the pleasure of signing a Wilderdollar cheque in your name for your use that summer.
