ACCOUNTANT - Summer onlySpend the summer working on the Ottawa River in WT's accounting department.Must be at least a 2nd year accounting student.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - Year Round PositionThis position is basically an executive secretarial position to serve WT’s senior management staff.Excellent administrative skills combined with commesurate computer skills.
Dining Room BusersTo ensure cleanliness and organization of Rafters Dining Room. To ensure the safety and well-being of our guests. To maintain a clean environment in Rafters. To ensure bussing stations are kept neat and tidy. To take full garbage bags to dumpsters. To take dirty dishes to kitchen and glasses to the bar. To check tickets as required. Relate any problems to Dining Room Manager or Food & Beverage Manager.To be personable, able to take charge and able to access a situation & deal with it. To have a good working knowledge of all WT programs and activities in order that guest inquiries may be responded to accurately. Must have excellent communication skills, accurate record keeping and be self motivated.
Dining Room SupervisorResponsible for floor supervision during operating hours. To assist in the implementation of Bar controls and Staff training. To Cash-Out servers, run reports on machines and responsible for cash outs. To work closely with servers, maintain excellent services & ensuring our guests are treated well. To ensure the dining room & washrooms are clean at all times & to ensure the maintenance schedule is followed. Kitchen StaffTo cook & perform all kitchen duties as required. Maintain quality & consistency of product which is being cooked, according to specifications. Set up and break down of Pit. Cleanliness of entire Pit area. To assist in the preparation of food.To ensure all dishes are properly cleaned. Washing all dishes, pots and large items. Keep garbage emptied and disinfect garbage cans. Responsible for cleanliness of work area. Keep floors swept and mopped as necessary. To clean staff washroom daily To assist in production of top quality product for our guests while maintaining an efficient & clean work area.Previous experience an asset, but not required. Must be able to take direction and work independently when required.
Maintenance WorkerTo provide guests with clean and functional facilities. To ensure their stay is a pleasant one. To ensure that all toiletries and supplies are stacked and of sufficient quantity. To collect and sort beer bottles and can for return and refund. To maintain a sufficient supply of firewood and remove ashes when necessary. Work in association with Outdoor Centre Maintenance Supervisor. To perform other duties as requiredMust be able to work independently and take direction. Must be able to follow direction in a mature and responsible manor.
Office StaffTo call delinquent reservations for deposits and balances due. To ensure that Wilderness Tours reservations are booked to effective capacity while maintaining a balanced seasonal operation To demonstrate courteous and professional mannerisms towards callers and guests at all times. To sell, promote, market, and book guests for WT packages and programs in person or over the phone. To communicate effectively and knowledgeably to guests when taking reservations and recording information in detail. To ensure that all information regarding reservations and payments are inputted into computer accurately. To becoem fluent in the ROAM reservation system and keep up to date on all programs and policies To ensure all deposits and payments are accurate and that all invoices and statements are mailed daily.Must have excellent communication skills, typing skills, accurate record keeping and be self motivated. General office duties as required including;knowledgeable understanding of WT packages, programs and policies; booking and inputting of reservations, payments, information and waivers; upkeep and cleanliness of the office and upstairs working area.
Raft GuideTo guide guests down the river ensuring a safe, exciting, high quality raft trip. To ensure pre and post trip duties are completed as per Supervisor. To entertain the guests in a courteous manner. To be punctual, in uniform, and act in a professional manner at all times. Other duties as required.Current CPR and First Aid Certification. Must have strong swimming ability. Must be friendly and outgoing and strong communication skills.
Security StaffTo ensure the safety and well being of our guests. To protect guests, staff and property of Wilderness Tours. To ensure compliance to all regulations & policies by all persons on WT property. To assist, when necessary, Rafters Doormen in the execution of their duties. To maintain a level of cleanliness as is expected by WT contingent upon circumstances. To provide guests with whatever assistance is necessary. Evening & night work in all types of weather conditions. Constant contact with our guests during your shift.To have a good working knowledge of all WT programs and activities in order that guest inquiries may be responded to accurately. Must have excellent communication skills and be self motivated.
Ski Lift MechanicWilderness Tours is in the ski business 6 months/year. TSSA qualified lift mechanic.
