Ottawa Kayak Academy Teen Kayak Week
Wilderness Tours is famous for youth development through kayaking. This specially designed resident program is geared to ages 12-16 and might just be a life changing experience for your son or daughter.
Teens are welcome alone in the resident camp or as day students if the family is at WT for an Adventure Week Program. The Teen Kayak Camp is the first step on the road to good summer jobs as river guides and kayak instructors. Successful graduates of the Teen Kayak Camp are eligible to enroll in WT’s world famous Keener Program.
The Teen Kayak Program includes:
5 days of whitewater kayak instruction from certified professionals
Full equipment rental, kayak, helmet, life jacket and paddle.
5 nights of accommodation in our bunkhouses
5 nights of organized evening activities such as mountain biking, rock climbing, vertical challenge courses and more
24 hr supervision by our professional and staff
14 hearty meals
Students who are positively interested in kayaking we recommend our Beginner to Intermediate in 2 Weeks (BTI2) Teen Camp. After two weeks on the Ottawa River we guarantee that we'll create a life long kayaker.
